Prayer requests
The Intercessory Prayer Team responds to all prayer-line phone calls, prays for the parishioners and
visitors and passes the needs along the prayer chain. Prayer concerns can be phoned to 703.273.1300 ext. 450, 24 hours a day.

After-hours Emergencies

Healing Prayer
When we pray for physical healing, we are responding to the scripture "Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:14)

We give thanks to God that skilled medical professionals, with their abundance of knowledge, are indispensable parts of modern life. Yet we believe that Jesus is still the Great Physician and Healer. The Healing Prayer Team maintains a rigorous program of meetings and education to aid them in their call to pray for those seeking physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

We also pray for emotional and spiritual healing. The Healing Prayer Team helps people confront inner blockages, destructive behaviors and sinful heart attitudes, such as fear, anger and guilt, that can hinder their spiritual walk of faith. We pray with people to let go of those things that keep them from being all God longs for them to be, and to live a Christ-centered life. This ministry is carried out by lay people who are called, committed and trained to pray for physical, emotional and spiritual healing with those who seek it. We seek to provide a safe and confidential setting in the church where people can come to receive personal prayer with a team of two or three healing prayer ministers.
