The Lord bless you, and keep you; the Lord look upon you with pleasure and be gracious to you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24--26

The Counseling Ministry at Truro is provided for personal and relational growth, healing and reconciliation. One of the key problems that we face is lies that we believe about ourselves, others, our world or even God. One of the central strategies is to identify God’s perspective on who we are, what we can expect of ourselves and others, and what is true about God and what is not. The counselors are committed to biblical authority and the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is their commitment to help you clarify concerns and work toward a sense of health, wholeness, and successful living. This ministry provides a confidential setting where you can talk about your cares and move toward the discovery of God’s peace and comfort.

Counseling in many ways is life coaching and getting a realistic perspective. Individuals need insight and skills to manage life’s challenges. Marriage partners sometimes need more understanding about male/female differences and relationship skills. Parents often need a reality check about children and teenagers and additional parenting skills. A central emphasis is the concept of mutual respect and the Christian value of serving another by knowing a need and then giving to meet the need.
