Recreation and Respite (R n’ R) is Special Forces Ministry's fun Saturday night. It is a respite care program for children with special needs and their siblings age 2-18.  It is held once a month on the 2nd Saturday evening of each month from 6:00-9:00 pm and allows parents a much-needed break.  Activities include games and crafts, music, snacks, movies and even a parachute game!  R n’ R is staffed by volunteers from Truro Church and the community.  A love offering is accepted at the door.
 

R n’ R Basics:

  • To participate in any Special Forces program, each child must have a current Family Profile and consent form on file.
  • Parents are asked to feed their child(ren) dinner prior to coming to R n’ R, due to food allergies and sensitivities. 
  • During the evening a snack is provided, however, if your child has food allergies please bring an appropriate snack from home.
  • Parents need to label all personal belongings with the child's full name (medicines, diaper bag, clothing and food items).
  • Please note R n’ R dates are by reservation only.
